What inspired you to start your business?

Knowing there was more! I knew that working in the corporate world wasn't going to be 'it' for me. I started reading and educating myself on other entrepreneurs and business owners and realized that - just like me, they're just PEOPLE. People who believe in themselves, create a plan and work hard. Over time, and with lots of reflection I started to think that starting Hundred Blog would be the way for me to share my travels, what inspires me, and more with others. Just like I knew there was more, I knew that there could be 'more' to blogs. More than just clothes and shopping links, but real tangible advice and information. That's where 'Hundred' comes from. It's nothing less.

How do you stay motivated through the ups and downs of your business?

I love this question, because the ups are never usually SO high, but I've felt like I've gotten lots of bread crumbs in the past year or so, that have kept me motivated and going :). Small wins and small victories that fuel me. But more so, it's knowing that I'm following my passion, working hard, and doing what's best for me ALL of the time - keeps me working 24/7.

What advice would you give the younger you?

I've said this before :) but I wish I would have pushed myself at a younger age to start thinking about the future. There's life beyond college, and if I had been actually strategic about my college life I could be WAY further along. By thinking about my major, extra circulars, passions and taking time to start figuring out what I like, earlier would have been a REALLY good idea. It's all apart of the journey, yes - but still!

How does your spirituality impact your business?

Ah! For me, it is everything with my business. 'Spirit' (God, Universe, whatever!) is a topic that I talk about a lot on the blog. Having faith and exploring that faith, in a sense, is a lot like loving yourself, and having confidence in the path. I am a huge believer in manifestation, law of attraction, mindfulness, all of that. It's always with me.

How do you balance all of your commitments personally and professionally?

Good question, if you have any advice - let me know, ha. I find that challenging, I have a boyfriend, a 9-5 job, a blog, a podcast, friends, a passion for working out...it's a lot. But I don't know why, I LOVE to stay busy and it fuels and drives me. Removing a lot of 'noise' like television, random Instagram scrolling...helps to save tons of time, and I really try to make each hour of the day matter. I get up at 5:30, go to bed at 10 PM most nights (sleep is key) and eating well really helps to give me the brain power and the stamina to make it through a long day.

Another thing that helps :) not drinking. I don't drink, and haven't for the past couple years because of the way it would slow me down in life! When you're hungover, you're not functioning at an optional level!

But, as I said, I have times when I get home and my boyfriend is like, okay I haven't seen you in 3 days, we need to chill, and I try to honor that.

What has been your biggest challenge along the way and how did you overcome it?

I was working in NYC when I moved to LA and started to work remotely at my 9-5 job. I was thinking I could make the leap, and work on Hundred full time, and decided to quit. Well, that was a mistake, LOL. Going from making a certain income, to another (half as much!) is quite challenging if you're working at a certain spending set point.

So I was feeling frantic and pressured to make my business something it wasn't. Sort of compromising the creativity to make money way too quickly. There's lots of temptation to do 'skinny tea' posts, HA. But that's not me at all, and it doesn't feel good to do something that doesn't align to you. It was a long road to figure out that right now, working and having it as a side hustle (with Almost 30 Podcast) is the way to go. Now I'm in the groove of working my jobs, and although it's a lot - I wouldn't have it any other way.

In what ways do you feel like you are impacting the world by doing the work that you do?

My goal is to empower people to be more of who they are - 100% of the time. I hope that by me being completely myself in my business that others see that and feel like they can too. I've had people message me and email me saying that my advice on things like meditation, or wellness has helped them to live better. Which means everything to me. With Almost 30 Podcast, I can see that multiplied - people have really resonated with our voices and it's been incredibly humbling.
