What inspired you to start your business?

My professional coaching business actually began as a private counseling practice. It was birthed from the desire to assist others in accessing the deep authentic healing that I cultivated and used to transform my own life, and I was determined to be the therapist that I never knew I so desperately needed for most of my life. I’ve spent the past decade plus exploring personal development, had some fantastic experiences and many which left me wanting. Having resolved my core issues, which kept interrupting the natural flow of goodness into my life, and having discovered what actually worked to get me there I knew the greatest way to be of service in the world was to share these tools with others. In time I concluded that transitioning into coaching rather than therapy offered me more freedom to assist others with a greater level of connection, authenticity, and speed. Now I get a front row seat to coach inspiring individuals and couples to claim their deepest wishes and desires.

How do you stay motivated through the ups and downs of your business?

For me ups and downs are just a part of business so motivation isn’t where I place my focus. Instead I remain committed to my own growth and expansion as a multidimensional being (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual). This often looks like hiring my own coaches, working with spiritual mentors, and pursuing areas where I feel called to grow. As a result I stayed attuned to how my soul most desires to express through my life and how to use my business to support the ever unfolding adventure I’m on. This keeps my life and business rich and engaging.

What advice would you give the younger you?

If I could sit with my younger self I would take her hands in mine and look deep into there eyes appreciating the depth, wisdom, grace, and beauty which has always been there. I would reflect this to her through my loving presence, but in words I’d encourage her to start connecting with her faith and trust in herself…to pay attention to the aspects of spirit she is already awake to within herself. I would advise her to take more risks and to worry less about money, for she will always have more than enough. I’d tell her to be bold, unapologetic, to do the inappropriate and say yes to life (especially when it doesn’t make sense or feels scary). Most importantly, I’d tell the younger me that life and business is a game that is here in service to her, and the sooner she learns how it works the sooner she will have a direct experience of her authentic power, prosperity, joyful soul.

How do you stay in a “high-vibration” traveling so much?

Staying high-vibration for me when traveling or going to the supermarket is the same thing. It comes down to checking in with my authentic self, listening to my inner knowing, and following the wisdom that comes forward. This is how I make aligned choices and make sure I am meeting my own needs. Travel is tricky because it often disturbs our homeostasis and interrupts our high vibe through increased unknown variables. This means new thoughts, unfamiliar feelings, and different physical influences are often present that could trigger old patterns and unconscious low-vibe reactions. The more I slow down and tune into what is occurring within my consciousness in any given moment the easier it is to respond in productive ways that keep me in my zone.

How does your spirituality impact your business?

Spirituality is my business. I have a Masters Degree in Spiritual Psychology with an emphasis in Consciousness, Health and Healing. This is important as a professional coach because all I have to offer my clients is the depth of my consciousness - what I see and what I sense. To me there is no separation between the two. Living in alignment with my authentic self and recognizing the connection I have with all of life is a spiritual state of being. Thus, my business is in embodying the authentic qualities of my being and assisting others in bringing them forth within themselves. When we live in alignment with our soul our natural grace and power flows. When there is flow there is also spaciousness and freedom; and some people call the direct experience of that God.

How do you balance all of your commitments personally and professionally?

I don’t believe balance is a place we ever arrive, rather an active inquiry that can be used to be in conscious relationship with life. When I hear clients talk about feeling unbalanced they usually have competing intentions and/or haven’t yet aligned their actions with what they say they want. I’m at risk for this too and use my coaches and mentors for accountability. If I’m feeling unbalanced I know I am not honoring commitments I’ve made or need to shift my focus. If there is something I want, but am not getting results professionally I make new commitments around it and give it more of my attention. This may mean placing all my energy in one area for a time. The trick, avoid doing this at the expense of basic needs while navigating other priorities and commitments.

What has been your biggest challenge along the way and how did you overcome it?

My greatest challenge has been and continues to be remembering who I really am. My conditioning and my misperceptions, like all of us, have reigned for so long that my ongoing journey asks me to repeatedly choose faith and forgiveness in and of myself. I have and continue to overcome perceived limitation, fear, and disempowerment by surrounding myself with others who will lend me their faith when mine is weak. I continuously reinvest in myself by hiring the best coaches and mentors available to me. Ultimately I find freedom from challenges by surrendering suffering to the wisdom of my heart and returning to the place within where unconditional loving, acceptance and forgiveness resides.

In what ways do you feel likeyou are impacting the world by doing the work that you do?

Through my work as a coach I impact the world through the ripple effect. I work with each of my clients in clearing misperceptions about themselves, others, life, etc. and directing them back to their authentically loving, empowered selves. My clients are like pebbles I get to sit with, polish and appreciate, then toss into the pond of life and watch the ripples of their expansion touch, move and inspire others in their lives. I rest confidently knowing that I am adding to the sum total of love, compassion, forgiveness, wisdom and authenticity present in the world.
